Se publica un libro sobre la historia del Conservatorio de Música de Valencia

El Instituto Valenciano de la Música, (IVM), acaba de publicar, dentro de su colección “Biblioteca de Música Valenciana”, el volumen titulado “El Conservatorio de Música de Valencia. Precedentes e historia temprana (1850 – 1910)”, donde se investiga sobre la implantación de los estudios formales de música en la ciudad de Valencia.

La autora del texto es Ana Fontestad Piles, pianista y catedrática, la cual hace un exhaustivo repaso por las diferentes causas que desembocaron en la creación del Conservatorio, además del papel que tuvo en la fundación del centro de asociaciones culturales (como la Real Sociedad Económica de Amigos del País).

Según la propia autora, la aparición del Conservatorio, supuso la ordenación y reglamentación de las enseñanzas musicales, además de la democratización de este tipo de enseñanza que se vinculaba antes a una determinada clase social.

El libro se divide en dos tramos: el primero , de 1850 a 1879, donde se hace hincapié en el campo de la educación básica musical; mientras que el segundo, de 1879 a 1910, se hace un seguimiento a la enseñanza musical en el Conservatorio.

Fuera del ámbito del libro queda la incorporación al Estado, en 1917, la transformación en un Conservatorio Profesional en 1942 y en Conservatorio Superior en 1968, cuando en 1997 recuperó el Conservatorio Profesional, volviendo a su antigua sede.

Outside the scope of the book is the inclusion in the State, in 1917, the transformation into a Conservatory in 1942 and Conservatory in 1968, when in 1997 the Conservatory recovered, returning to his former home.
