HERMANDAD DEL SANTO CÁLIZ DE LA CENA

Fue fundada por un grupo de entusiastas de la Semana Santa residentes en el centro de la ciudad, motivo por el cual, en sus primeras apariciones, se les conocía como “els de Valencia”.

Hicieron su primera aparición en las procesiones de 1948. Procesiona con un artístico estandarte en cuyo centro destaca el escudo de la Hermandad sobre un fondo de barras rojas y blancas en las que figuran bordados de espigas y racimos, símbolos de la Eucaristía. Posee un lujoso trono-anda formado por un artístico templete, en estilo gótico, donde se coloca el Santo Cáliz.

Participa en la procesión del Santo Entierro con Cruz Guía, acompañada de dos artísticos faroles y dos timbales que hacen sonar durante todo el recorrido.
Con ocasión del 50 Aniversario de la Hermandad, el 6 de abril de 1998, el Santo Cáliz que se venera en la Catedral de Valencia recorrió el Marítimo, siendo la primera vez que dicha reliquia visitaba una parroquia en los seis siglos que permanece en nuestra Ciudad.

BROTHERHOOD OF THE HOLY CHALICE OF THE DINNER
