José Sanleón expone su espiritualidad en el Centro Cultural Bancaja

La temporada del Centro Cultural Bancaja se abre con la exposición de Sanleón. Domus Dei, un viaje del artista hacia la espiritualidad marcado por los blancos y los negros, en los que se sintetizan las emociones, el silencio y la austeridad, según ha manifestado el propio artista José Sanleón en la presentación de la muestra. La selección de obras se podrá visitar hasta el 26 de agosto, en la Plaza de Tetuán 23, y reúne unas 30 piezas en las que el autor recupera la íntima relación que a lo largo de la historia han mantenido lo artístico y lo espiritual.

Lo primero que al visitante asombrará es la videoinstalación que recrea el juego de luces y sombras, un género que el artista valenciano no había cultivado y que, ha manifestado, no sabe si volverá a repetir. Después se pasa a una sala repleta de escultura metálicas abstractas, en las que se reinterpreta la arquitectura religiosa barroca, y por último, un espacio dedicado a la pintura.

Otra de las curiosidades de la muestra es que se ha editado un catálogo, en forma de misal, de lomos dorados, que reproduce las obras seleccionadas, en el también se incluyen dibujos y apuntes de distintas iglesias, así como una entrevista más personal al artista y un texto del comisario, Rafael
